Sotogrande-Tarifa 11 to 14 yo

Sotogrande is a place known in the world. Quality and luxury come together in its marina. We go down three days a week. There we will have 5 sailing sessions per fortnight, 10 hours in total, and a few metres away, at the Padel and Tennis Club, another 10 hours of classes taught by professionals who perfectly combine fun and learning. We will spend the whole day, we will eat at the yacht club and we will return to Tarifa at seven in the evening. A cosmopolitan touch to our country atmosphere.

Two different geographical spaces, Tarifa and Sotogrande, from which we extract the best part of both. The result is a sporty and somewhat wild fortnight in which you learn to live simply, breathing fresh air, strengthening your bond with nature and improving in sports that will keep you in shape and make you very happy.

Excursions: Tarifa, Los Lances beach, Valdevaqueros dunes, cultural visit to the ruins of Baelo Claudia.

We sleep in tents with pillow, sheet and mattress, in the exclusive LayosCamp zone inside Camping Río Jara (Estrecho Natural Park).

Three days a week we head to Sotogrande: 10 hours of sailing at the Real Club Marítimo and 10 hours of tennis and padel with professionals. We have lunch at the yacht club and return to Tarifa in the afternoon.

On the remaining days: activities around Tarifa and its beaches, hiking, climbing at Betis and an excursion to Bolonia.

Subcontractors: sailing (Real Club Marítimo de Sotogrande); padel and tennis (Club Octógono); climbing and kayak trips (Osmunda); windsurfing (Laduna); surfing or skating (Surfer Tarifa).

It is almost the same at every location. A typical day: 8:45 wake up, tidy the room and have breakfast; 10:00 activities; 12:30 swim and free time; 13:00 lunch and a rest with a film; 16:00 swim and afternoon snack; 16:30 activities; 19:00 showers; 20:15 dinner; 21:00 evening activity, and at 22:00 a meeting with their counsellor. In Santander and Tarifa the swims are at the beach. At Sotogrande-Tarifa the day starts at 9:00, and three days a week the group spends the whole day in Sotogrande (10:00 to 19:00) sailing and playing padel and tennis. On excursion and camping days the timetable changes.

The age of our students is homogeneous which allows us to carry out all the activities together. A small number of students creates a family atmosphere in the camp.

Homemade food made in the camp with quality, fresh and natural products. Students participate in culinary tasks and learn to cook and be self-sufficient. Special food for diets, allergies or intolerances.

There is a medical center in Tarifa that attends us 24 hours a day. For possible visits to the doctor we ask you to
send us a copy of the printed social security card or, failing that, the private insurance. All children are also covered by a private camp insurance.

It is essential to wear the camp uniform, 3 t-shirts, 3 pants, 3 pairs of socks and 1 sweatshirt: €160 complete uniform.

We accept uniforms from other years or from former students. The uniform must be ordered at the time of online registration. The uniform will be given to the campers on the first day of camp.

As every year we ask you to please bring a small suitcase.

In all programs we include round trip transportation from Madrid to each camp. We make an appointment with the parents at a meeting point and the children always travel accompanied by monitors. A private minibus takes us to the different activities and excursions.

LayosCamp offers a collection and delivery service at the airport or station for those children traveling from abroad, at an extra 70 € per camper provided flights or trains arrive within the recommended time window; outside that window, please contact the office. We will need full arrival and departure details.

From the fourth day of camp there is one hour of calls a day, at a time we will give you. During that hour you can call the camp phone or your child's mobile. The rest of the time, their camp counsellor keeps the phone.
