At LayosCamp, August has camps of its own: August at Layos, August at Layos · Junior and August in Gredos. They are three fortnights, each with its own page, and all three have two things that other dates do not: airport or station pick-up included, and a minimum group guarantee.
Three camps in August 2027
- August at Layos: 1 to 15 August 2027, at our Toledo camp in Layos. Ages 6 to 12.
- August at Layos · Junior: 1 to 15 August 2027, also at Layos, for young people aged 13 to 15.
- August in Gredos: 16 to 30 August 2027, at our camp in the Sierra de Gredos. Ages 6 to 12.
Each one is two weeks of camp, run the LayosCamp way. Within the 6 to 12 group, children are organised by age into two bands: the Eagles, aged 6 to 9, and the Crows, aged 10 to 12. Young people aged 13 to 15 are the Juniors, with a program of their own.
Who August is for
August is designed for families who work that month and want their children to keep making the most of the summer. Along the way, the children swap quite a few hours of screen time for whole days of doing things, living alongside other children and having fun with them, which does no harm in August either.
The atmosphere is also international. On August at Layos and August in Gredos we welcome, proportionally, more international campers: in Gredos, almost half the group comes from outside Spain. The August Junior is an international group too, with almost one in three campers from abroad. Living alongside children from different countries is part of the experience, and Spanish and English come up quite naturally every day.
What each one offers
August at Layos is the first fortnight of August at our Toledo camp: swimming pool, sport, games, workshops, evening activities, friends and plenty of time outdoors.
August at Layos · Junior is the same fortnight, in the same place, for young people aged 13 to 15: every kind of sport, teamwork and leadership activities, evening activities, friends and a lot of life outdoors.
August in Gredos is the second fortnight of August, right in the Sierra de Gredos: a natural swimming pool, mountain walks, sport, nature workshops, camping out under the stars and, here too, friends and days spent outdoors.
The same service as the rest of the summer
In August the service is the same as in July, in the same facilities, and we do things the way we have done them as a family business since 1985.
Airport or station pick-up included
If you are coming from outside Madrid or from another country, airport or station pick-up is included at all three August camps, at the start and at the end of the fortnight. The pick-up points are Madrid-Barajas airport and Atocha and Chamartín stations.
For the pick-up to be guaranteed, the office has to approve the flights or trains beforehand, and they must arrive within the recommended times. If yours arrives outside those times, call the office first. And if you live in Madrid, there is also the LayosCamp coach from Madrid.
Minimum group guarantee
This guarantee is set out in our Terms and Conditions. For sessions starting in August, if a session does not reach the minimum number of participants we consider necessary to run it normally, we will let you know by email at least 30 days before the departure date.
You then choose: a refund of 100% of what you have paid, including the €50 registration fee, or moving the registration to another session with spots available, paying or recovering the difference in price.
What if only one week works for you?
For some families, August only partly fits. If that is your case, ask us about coming for just the first week of the fortnight. We look at this on request, so the best thing is to call or email us and we will see what can be done.
How to choose between the three
Age and dates decide almost everything. For children aged 6 to 12 there are two options: the first fortnight of August at Layos, or the second in the Sierra de Gredos. For young people aged 13 to 15, the option is August at Layos · Junior, in the first fortnight.
One case is worth looking at carefully: a child who is about to turn 13. What counts is their age when the session starts. If they turn 13 after 1 August, you can choose between August at Layos, with the Crows, and August at Layos · Junior; if they are already 13 when it starts, the Junior is the one for them.
