- The water route in Hoyo de Pinares: If you fancy a hike, this route is well worth it; if not, you can also do it by car. You pass two dams holding water from the Becedas river on the way to the dam of the La Puente reservoir, where you can have lunch or an afternoon snack at picnic tables.

An afternoon snack on the banks of the Guadarrama river: A few kilometres from Madrid, near Las Rozas, runs the Guadarrama river, with spectacular views of the Retamar bridge. You can go for a walk and have a snack while you read about the history of the bridge.
- Cascadas del Purgatorio: In the Sierra de Guadarrama, this is one of the most incredible natural landscapes to visit with children.
